I have been  thinking with color matching swords for elements, should the three characters using sword be able to use all of them swords?

or should I share like 3 swords to one, 3 swords to another and 2 swords for the last? ( fire, ice, water, thunder, earth, wind, light, dark)

I am thinking out loud I guess.
