I personally like knowing how close I am to killing something, then I can plan my moves :D
Is there a way to put the health bar higher/lower?

hi Mint :)  yes i too like to know an enemy health , i am just looking at various ways to solve this issue ( for this one and a few others, luckily i do not have to bother with that for the most of them) , hiding the health bar is the easiest but yes it is definitely annoying not knowing an enemy health, i started to try moving the health bar up but it is not working well as there are many different size of enemies, hiding the health can be done for each enemy but changing the health bar touch all of them , i still have to try putting it below their foot/name hopefully it will work better :) i will post it if i solve the issue :)

i am not sure where my game is going and i know well my limits in game making but at least this is something i can fix..i think

i was not expecting anyone to reply to be honest, i am happy you did :) thank you :)

edit : it seems no matter how i move the health bar there always something wrong

with one enemy or another ,to put it above it was obvious it would rise problems but i was not expecting it when moving the bar below,

got only three choice then ,  1: let the health bar in the way.  2: change the character sprite to something i know will not give that health bar problem.  3: hide the health bar.

though choice 😓

You're welcome, you give so much feedback for others it makes me happy to return the favor :D
That is a hard choice... and you tried looking it up? Otherwise having the health bar in the way, changing the enemy sprites or hiding the health bar is up to you, but none of those options are that great.
Sorry I can't be of much help :(

hi Mint :)

i tried what i could and ended up to choose giving back static pose to some monsters to avoid the health bar in the way of their animated counterpart except two that i choose to hide they health bar as there are no static counterpart but as their are animated it shows on their moving pose when their health is low so i think it's ok ( the one on the screenshot is one of the two )

how is your nanoreno game jam going ? i hope all is fine :)

do you have a discord ? if yes add me Marina/Anwynn#1789
